The course is designed for Health Care Administrators, Risk Managers, Nurses, Physician Assistants and Consultants seeking to attain a specialty designation as Certified in Risk Management & Patient Safety.
The (CRMPS) designation is a competency based credential that is
conferred for one year upon successful completion of the course and the must be renewed yearly. Individuals who complete the course and
receive the (CRMPS) designation automatically receive a one year membership in
the Institute for Health Care Risk Management.
Course Structure
The course is fully online and entirely self-paced and covers topics related to risk management, patient safety and regulatory compliance. The course is entirely self paced, and participants have six months to complete. Participants have access to the course instructor through email and online chat sessions. The course is comprised of four fully online flexible learning modules with learning activities including assigned readings, online videos and knowledge check assignments.
