About the Institute for Health Care Risk Management 

The Healthcare Risk Management Institute was founded by
Kenneth R. Nanni, Ph.D., CRMPS in response to the closure of the Certificate Program offered by the University of South Florida, where he previously served as the Program Coordinator. Dr. Nanni founded the Institute to continue providing much-needed training in the fields of Healthcare Risk Management, Patient Safety and Regulatory Compliance. During his time as the Faculty Coordinator the USF program was converted to an online training program and became the first program in Florida approved to provide CE training to health care professionals seeking to enter the field of Healthcare Risk Management and Patient Safety.

Our Faculty & Curriculum

Kenneth Nanni, Ph.D., CRMPS is the overall Faculty Director and he is assisted by Adjunct Faculty and content experts who work in different settings across the health care delivery continuum.

The curriculum for our online competency based certification program was developed in alignment with standards established by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training.
